I finally got carma 1 to run in dosbox but i cant get glide to work.
The db version from ykhwong.x-y.net almost works: a 3dfx logo displays but then the screen goes blank - the game is running (there are sounds and i can navigate the menus blindly) but no display. Same results on xp and vista pcs.
I'm stumped! 😢
At least you got farther than me. How did you do it?
update: i have gotten carmav.exe to run in dos mode on a Windows 95 virtual machine; strange the game runs smoother on the vm (which is running on a vista machine) than through dosbox on the same machine!
You might want to try that - the graphics look a little better with the carmav.exe executable.
Also there is a release floating around that runs carma in opengl mode
that will run on vista but you have to know where to hunt for it 😉
