Yes, it works with DOSBox's default configuration, you just need to correctly configure the soundblaster music and sfx with the INSTALL.EXE that is included. One thing about the adlib/SB detection is that it can be sensitive to cycles (just like the Alone in The Dark games that JITD is based on). In order to ensure that the sound hardware is detected, start up the game at 3000 cycles and then increase cycles as desired with ctrl-f12.

Ah, I managed to get fx sound working, just no music under DOSBox... but maybe that's coz I running it on max cycles...

Am also trying to get it working with sound under my Libretto 100CT laptop too (has hardware SBPro compatible)...

to be honest we don't care much for bug reports that are caused by running dosbox in the non -default configuration.
ripsaw pointed out it works in the default configuration. so there is no problem.
