didnt know where to post this but here it goes:

ok this is my system:
AMD K6-2 550mhz
256mb PC133 Ram
ATI RAGE 128 PRO 32mb latest drivers
Creative Sound blaster 16 (ISA) stock windows 98 drivers
Windows 98SE

my issue:

in UW2 I get the black main menu with readable text, and when I press create character it crashes saying:

Underworld can no longer run. Error code A005.

UW1 plays fine, its just UW2 that has problems, can someone help?

btw this is the CD version that Im playing, I cant play directly from the cd, so I copied the files off the cd to the computer, and play from there.

ok, this is odd, i downloaded this game from a site (I legally own this game on CD) and i tried it from there and it works with no issues, odd....

the reason its odd is under DOSBOX my version works fine, but otherwise it doesnt. ok well if anyone has any ideas, that would be great, but I got it working.

Also, the program probably won't work very well being run in an environment that it does not expect. If you can't play directly from the CD for some reason, make an image and mount it with Daemon Tools - apparently version 3.47 works in Win98.
