For all of those who are having a hard time with getting the pictures and other problems with this game
I have a solution
Do not mount the game as C C:\GW2. That wont work
Mount it as C C:\
CD GW2
Home
You will get it to work fine
Also this game hates Front ends
If you are still having problems go to the ini, file and make sure all of the mounts are the same as the main directory.
Fantastic game!
But just saying... games can't "not like" front-ends. They don't discriminate 😀
It also works well if you use the installation program on the CD and keep the same folder-mountings used at installation when subsequently running the game. Because you have the original installation CD, right?

There are many games that do not expect to be run from C:\ and do not work if their main directory is mounted directly as C: .

No. Move GW2 to a sub directory and mount that. Isn't it bad to mount the root of a drive, especially C:\?
You can just mount the game's folder as C: if you edit the LEGEND.INI to:
KEYBOARD=NORMAL
MOUSE=MOUSE
FLCDATA=.\
GAMEDATA=.\
PICDATA=.\
VOCDATA=.\
SAVEDATA=.\
