Hi guys,

I have recently found out that my favourite game of all time can be played via a great program called D-Fend, the game as the title suggests is Rome – Pathway to Power.

Unfortunately each time I drag the folder into D-Fend then click to run, the window pops up, but nothing happens and I get a black screen in the pop-up window. If anyone could help me get this running so I can re-visit some good memories I would be very grateful !

D-Fend is a front end for DOSBox.
Try the 60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox.

Unfortunately I did check that guide but it didn't help at all.

Can you be more specific about what happens when you run it?
You start DOSBox, you run rome.bat, right?
It works for me.

I'm guessing you haven't installed the game in DOSBox or set up the mounting path manually.

Does that mean you actually followed it or did you just check if it pertained to what you had tried to do? Your response is rather vague in that area.
