Uncle Henry's Playhouse and/or Puzzle Madness
These are to answer the questions at Follow These Guidelines When Submitting Help Requests
1. Motherboard: Dell?
2. Processor type and speed: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.60 GHz
3. Amount and type of RAM: 3.59 GHz, 1.99 GB of RAM
4. Video board w/ RAM amount and type: Intel?
5. Sound board: SoundMAX Digital Audio?
6. Operating system: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3
7. Game name (and version, if applicable): Uncle Henry’s Playhouse (For Windows 95) from Puzzle Madness (2002 CD)
8. Description of problem (be detailed: saying "it's jerky" doesn't help, saying "the player sprites seem to be jerky when I'm pressing any of the arrow keys" does): My very detailed description is here: http://www.t7g3.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=18071#18071
9. Reproducibility of problem (always, only once, always but only on a specific level, etc.): It keeps on happening with the title menu shrunk down to the top fourth of the screen and garbled when I try to run it in Windows without DOSBox.
10. Sound mode used: SoundMAX Digital Audio?
11. Video mode (Software, OpenGL, Direct3D, or Glide, and resolution): COMPAQ 1024 on Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family, set at 1024 by 768 pixels, at 32-bit
12. Version of emulator (for VDMSound, probably 2.0.4 or 2.1.0; for DOSBox, 0.58+) : DOSBox 0.74 (I don’t understand how to run a Win 95 game in DOSBox. How do you do this? Win 95 is based on DOS. )
13. Steps already attempted to solve the problem (please say you've read the README if you haven't, and READ IT IF YOU HAVEN'T!) : Which Readme? The DOSBox one or the Henry one? The DOSBox Readme at http://dosbox.cvs.sourceforge.net/dosbox/dosb … DME?view=markup isn’t helpful for a Win 95 game. I’ve read the Uncle Henry’s Playhouse Readme in the 401 MB zip file that I’ve uploaded at http://www.wolfensteingoodies.com/scg/PuzzleMadness.zip . But if you want only the Henry Readme file, it’s here: http://www.wolfensteingoodies.com/scg/win95/l … ness/README.DOC
I have a question. Is Uncle Henry’s Playhouse or Puzzle Madness now abandonware? If it isn’t, then I’ll delete the link this week.
I hope I’m not forgetting anything else.
