Seeing the latest version of DOSBox (6.0) made QFG4 CD version playable I decided to try it. DOSBox is able to launch the game with sound, music and everything, except when a text box is displayed, it disappear so fast that I can't even read a single word of it. I tried several other Sierra games and they work find, there's this problem only with QFG4. Does it happened to anyone else and is there a way to solve this problem? If it can help, I have an Athlon 2000+, with 256 Mo of RAM and I'm using Windows 98.

Maybe a little late but I saw this asked three times. This is happening because QG4 is looking for the the voice files for the text and unless you've mounted your cd drive they don't exist. This should solve the problem:

mount d ?:\ -t cdrom

where ? is the drive letter of your cdrom
