I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this but my question is very simple. Which would be better for PQ1 VGA Roland MT-32 or General Midi?

I prefer MT-32 on most if not all of the earlier Sierra titles.

I'd use GM for the VGA remake, and MT-32 for the original. IIRC, the older AGI versions used the "bugs" found in the original MT-32, and sound wonky on the newer rev.

That said, the PQ1 VGA remake sounds AWESOME with Crisis GM 3.0.1!

I tried the SQ1 VGA remake using both versions of MT-32, and they're missing a lot of the soundtrack that plays fine in GM.

The original supports PC speaker and Tandy at best I believe 😀
