When I try to run ANI.EXE, DOSBox closes with the following message: "PIC : Unhandled command 13"
What does this mean? Will "command 13" be emulated soon?

Okay, it seems i'll get there...
The exe runs, but now Animator quits with this error:
Phar Lap err 58 : Can't create VM swap file of size 0 in directory C:\

The strange thing is the swap file is created, but looks like animator doesn't see it.

Just a shot in the dark. The only thing i think about it is that DOSBox C: drive size isn't enough for the swap. Somewhere in the readme file, there is some info regarding increasing the number of megabytes for the emulated hard-disk, something regarding mount c c:\ -size xxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Look for it.

Quite some applications don't expect to be installed in the root of c:\
So try installing it in a subdirectory.

C: is my real C: hard disk mounted... AAPRO always creates temporary files in the root directory. I've tried D: too, similar problem:

I've tried mounting the drive with specified sizes too. No success either.
I guess under DOSBox AAPRO can't see the swap files, because they're 0 byte size. AAPRO works okay when I restart my computer in MS-DOS mode.

this problem is the same as with 3dsr4 (temp-file),
has already been fixed and might appear in one
of the next cvs (or not)

most likely the aapro won't run anyways as it needs

Will try to find some info on bcd counters as well.

Yeah, 3ds has the same problem because it was developed with the same pharlap dos extender. They're both great appz, but it's such a pain running them on modern systems...
