This is about Mortal Kombat 3 (PC-CD):
I got WinME.

MK3 for PC is a Game that Requires:
1*Being Installed on The Hard Drive.
2*If You are Gonna Play, MK3 CD Needs to be Inside a Working CD-ROM or your PC.

Now, common "Mount" Thing is NOT Working for Me, I need to Mount at The same Time:
1*Hard Drive (c:\) with MK3 (Already Installed).
Location:
c:\archiv~1\MK3\
2*CD-ROM (d:\) with The CD Game inside.

The Thing doesn't Stop complaning:
===================================

Unable to find MK3 CD

Please be sure that the MK3 CD is in your CD-ROM drive and that the drive door is properly closed.

===================================

For Your Attention, Thanks.

Thing solved with:
mount c c:/archiv~1/mk3
mount d d:/ -t cdrom -usecd 0

Copied & Adapted from another Game in The Forum, Now the Game is Running soooo Damn Slow!! Tried with Ctrl+F8 & F12, but it seems to do anything.

Any Suggestions for The Speed?

Hmmmmm,

Well you could switch to Overlay rendering, that usually does the trick for me.

I noticed you got the game running on Linix. If you want to get it to run on Window you might have to add the -ioctl parameter when you're mounting the CD drive. That usually resolves CD detection problems.

Yeah... My CD-ROM Detection Problem was Solved with:
mount c c:/archiv~1/mk3
mount d d:/ -t cdrom -usecd 0

Now My Problem is The Game Runs Veeeery Slowly...

Any Common Suggestion 4 DOSBox?

You can try to use dynamic cpu core. It does work very well with mk1 and 2, but i don't have mk3, so I don't know 😦
Also, try to turn off any extra emulation you don't need for this game (unused sound cards and the like).

First you must create (write) the configuration file to disk in order to be able to edit it afterwards.

Inside DOSBox: config -writeconf dosbox.conf

Exit DB and edit dosbox.conf (using notepad) and edit the core statement to dynamic.

Good luck.
