Hello!

I have read posts by numerous other people looking to get Lotus 123 version 3.1+ working on Dosbox, but none of these have produced any working solutions. I would very much like to use DosBox to run this legacy application, but everytime I try I get the following error:

vm error [38] internal error

A certain amount of config.sys tweaking is required to get this program working in a real DOS environment as well. Has there been any progress towards getting this program to run? Is there any way someone knowledgeable could help me do so? Thanks in advance!

What kind of tweaking is required under real DOS?

Some things to try:
- Try all four combinations of XMS and EMS=true and =false
- Try normal and full cores
- Try loadfix (or whatever it's called - see the DOSBox readme.txt)
- Make sure you're using DOSBox 0.63 (or even better, a CVS build)

You could also try installing a real copy of MS-DOS (or PC-DOS or whatever) inside of DOSBox and see if that helps, but I'd try everything else first.

I was wondering if you finally had any success loading Lotus 123 in DosBox. I've been trying for ages without success. The only way I can run it in XP Home is with Microsoft's Virtual Machine, but I would rather run Lotus under DosBox.
