I have Toshiba t3200SXC. It has open socket for a 387 FPU. I read, that some of yhese computers had Cyrix CX-83S87-16-KP FPU.
Is it really worth it, for avarage Doom, Wolf3D or Mod player to have a FPU? Would it be even used in games or scene demos? Would Dos Navigator even utilize it?
That Cyrix above, is it have any compatible substitutes? Are any other FPU that could replace that one? CPU is 20MHz Intel 80386SX-20

Nie tylko, jak widzicie, w tym trudność, że nie zdołacie wejść na moją górę, lecz i w tym, że ja do was cały zejść nie mogę, gdyż schodząc, gubię po drodze to, co miałem donieść.

i) Keeps dust out of the socket.
ii) Assuages the OCDish anxiety of having an empty hole.
iii) Speeds up spreadsheets, CAD and fractal rendering.
iv) Speeds up 0.2% of games.
v) Enhances shareholder value for your local electricity supplier.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
