What exactly is different about these CPUs from their desktop parts? Checking Wikipedia, it seems the K6-2P/366AFK is a 16W part whereas the K6-2/366AFR is a 20.8W part despite both running at the same voltage, FSB and multiplier. They also seem to have the same core produced at the some process node but have different CPUIDs (580 vs 58C). The only difference I can see is that the Mobile part actually has a Halt energy saving state whereas the desktop part only has Stop Clock state? Is the difference only power management related? And ultimately, do the K6-2P mobile CPUs work fine in Socket 7 motherboards?
