I couldn't find a thread like that, so I'll start.

What is this about? There's a wiki page about unofficial laptop memory limits https://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Unofficial_max … um_memory_specs but there isn't one for, well, other kinds of computers. Sadly, this page is dedicated only to ThinkPad laptops which is very unhelpful, as other laptops could use a page like that too.

So I'll start. Anyone is welcome to contribute, ask questions, etc.

Epox EP-D3VA:
- Official limit: 1.5GB

Rumor has it this board can go up to 4GB under special circumstances. I've managed to get it to boot once with all 4 DIMMs occupied with 1GB memory, but 99% of the time the POST card hangs on F.F and the PC speaker emits 1 long beep. The other 1% of time, it boots with part of the memory addressed (3 out of 4GB in my case), but all DIMMs reporting they carry the correct memory when queried by software like HWINFO.
