Found this on the inside of the lid, dont know why i didn't check that the first thing 😀

That is great ! Over the decades only found a few old machines that had a similar jumper label attached inside the case.
That Sony cpu is a faster version of the NEC V20, very cool.

added: from what little info I found the 500 Plus used the Sony V20 cpu where the 500 standard used the Intel 8088-2, also a 8mhz cpu but lacked the the added new instructions from the 80186/80188 cpu's...
Will look for some docu's but doubt will find anything...

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

If it's the 84 key, 10 Fn key version then it's probably based on the ModelF XT standard. It's not directly compatible with AT (although the connector's the same), but apparently some AT keyboards had a switch to put them in XT mode.

Have to look in to that! Might have a friend that have and old IBM at home..
What happens when you put ordinary AT keyboard in XT port? 😀

I don't think anything breaks, it just doesn't work. There are some converters to go from an AT keyboard to an XT machine: https://www.vcfed.org/forum/forum/vcwiki/vcwi … oard-converter=

Thanks!
Alot of converters needs to be invested in before a start up..
I want to do at least one start up before dishes and maybe open the PSU for a recap 😀
