Hi guys, I recently purchased and configured this machine with windows 98 for retro games, so I saw videos around that you can insert a voodoo 2, I would like to know if you can also insert voodoo banshee or voodoo 3, it would be really fantastic if it was possible
Do you have the PCI expansion module? Without it you'll have a hard time hacking up something to mount any PCI card.
i am looking for a riser on ebay but they are hard to find and some have crazy prices, could this work?
The riser you posted is a PCIe riser so it won't work.
A PCI riser ribbon cable would help you but you would still have to mod the case so you can mount the card outside the case.
I don't think it's worth the hassle to be honest.
No, that's PCI-Express extender, T5710 has PCI connector.
Similar answer for Voodoo Banshee or Voodoo 3, only PCI variants could work, AGP won't. Plus there's potential problem with power supply. Original brick may be insufficient for higher power graphics cards.
ok so this riser is to be excluded, as far as the power supply of the cards is concerned it was something I was already looking for, the voodoo banshee PCI and voodoo 3 2000 PCI seem to have the same tdp and psu as voodoo 2.
