Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to get more than VGA in Windows 3.11?
I have the XGA+ LCD panel, but I can't seem to find the correct driver.

Regards,
Craig

Hi Craig! It's the Dell D600 laptop, right?
If so, then you'll be out of luck finding native drivers for Windows 3.x. It's way too new.

However, Microsoft's SVGA driver might work.
Well, one of the patched ones. They will use VESA then, which is hardware-independant.

Good luck! 🙂🤞

Thanks mate, but it didn't work.

I appreciate the help.

If you have the base station that supports PCI cards then it might be possible to use something like a PCI Tseng 4000 in there and get SVGA by that route, I can do something similar with my D830 and a Radeon 7000 PCI card. (The Base station isnt expensive either so it might be worth investigating)

It does mean its no longer a portable device so I dont know if that will be an issue here.

Thanks mate.

I just bought a Dell D-Dock PD01X Expansion Station. I think it will work.

I didn't even know that they existed! From what I understand, they used to be $475. Happily I only paid $40.
