Hi guys,

recently i have problems booting up the machine when plugging in/ detaching cards.
The mainboard seems to refuse work when it comes to harddrive / floppy drive detection.
In general it freezes after the "Award Plug and Play BIOS Extension message".
From time to time i receive graphical glitches. It does not matter which drives are plugged or unplugged.
Error messages do not occur even if none is attached.
Is the mainboard faulty or needs the BIOS an upgrade (new chip) ?

Mainboard: Elpina VXPro (L612), i don´t know the exact name of the mainboard

Thanks for the proposals

PC Chips M537 is the mainboard you have (2A5LAH09C), so I'd try a BIOS flash using the HDD patched BIOS (if it exists) for the M537 and then testing back. Could be something as much as a bad BIOS chip which shouldn't be too much of an issue if you have an external programmer.

Yikes, i had at least something like an external programmer in my mind. Unfortunately, i don´t own any programmer. So, i put it on my to do list .
Thanks for figuring out the mainboard.
