Hello everybody,

I am looking for the another one 4x1MB set to complete my 386 build (I already have 4x1MB). I have a good offer for the 4 sticks 30 pin FPM 70ns RAM. Seller saying that sticks are 1MB each, but I am not 100% sure. That is definitely 70ns chip, but what about size?

Two chips are AC514400N-70Q and the third one is TC511000AJ-70.

Well the Toshiba parity chip is a 1Mbit X 1, and the two (unfound datasheet) AC514400N must be similar to HM514400, HYB 514400 or TC514400 and be 1Mbit x 4. So yes each SIMM should be 1MB.
I never buy 3 chip 30 pin SIMMS unless matching exactly what the board already has (and does work), they do not work in all motherboards....edit for grammar 🤣

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Horun is right: This is a standard 1MB memory stick with parity. I never had issues with any kind of memory module in 486 boards (a lot of experience) and 386 boards (some experience). 286 boards might be way more picky about memory type, most notably the refresh size. If the offer for the modules is good, I would take the risk about compatiblity. The other question, which I am unable to answer, is the question about the quality of the chips we can't find a datasheet for. In the worst case, they are re-badged faulty chips making those modules unreliable.
