Hi friends,
I am slowly working on putting together a slot 1 machine built around a Pentium II 450MHz (Deschutes) processor and Voodoo 3 AGP (16 MB) graphics card.
While the goal of this build will be for real DOS gaming with good sound (AWE64 Gold + Orpheus + X2GS), I would like to take advantage of the Voodoo3 for some Glide supported Windows 98 games. I was wondering if the PII 450 will be a bottleneck that will prevent me from playing Glide for W98 games at a reasonable quality. I do have a slot 1 Coppermine PIII 733MHz (133MHz FSB) on hand that I could use instead, but was originally aiming to use the PII for this build as I have another PIII Tualatin machine (albeit, with a GF4 Ti4200 and no Glide) for performance Windows 98 gaming.
Thanks!
