Hi Vogoners !

A friend of mine came across this board, we have no idea what it can be or where it comes from. It seems to add functionality to something by interposing itself between a board and a 40pin DIP IC ...

There is only one marking : ADPSTF(A)

I drew a quick schematic. The C547C Transistor has the BCE marking on itself ... ???

Thanks a lot !

You know I knew I had seen something almost identical in my dads Amiga collection ...I could swear this is a Kickstart Rom switcher, though back in the day you had to rig it yourself but yeah its pretty similar to this one. The one he used let him switch between Workbench 1.3 and 2.0, was quite the thing too as 2.0 broke compatibility with some older Amiga software so it was great to have the older kickstart available at the flick of a switch.

There were a few of these for other systems too they all had a similar design.

Cool thanks that was fast ! That really may be one of those kickstart switcher, as it was in a pile close to some Amigas. The strange thing is the fact that the cables ends in a cinch connector ... was there a switch connected to that cinch ??

Usually there is yes, normally you would drill a hole in the side of the case and run the lead to a switch there.

Was a damn handy mod to have for an A500.
