On my Lucky Star LS-486E motherboard The clip wasn't holding the battery very firmly and after pushing it downwards it popped. I found the following replacement (?) on amazon. Not sure if its the correct product or why i need a pack of 12 but its under $10. Would this work?

I've never even held a soldering iron before, so would this be considered simplistic task to remove the old and replacing? I've been sub'ed to a number of old computer repair channels on youtube for some time and they make it look easy, but again i've never done it.

These battery holders are still available and easy to replace - even if it´s your first soldering "attempt".

These are perfect. The pitch between the legs is always the same.

It shouldn't be that hard for this task , you can practice your soldering skills on some 'dead' board before .

So far so good. Extraction was EZ mode. Just heated up the backend until she popped out. Just waiting on amazon for my "12" battery holders to show up for step 2.
