This is for the point and click stuff and not too demanding games. I plan to run very old games that I will slow down the CPU from 33 or 25 down to 16 even 10MHz.
I'd prefer to have video card with 2 rom chips to have 16 bit path.
512K or 1MB

How's the performance for these video cards?

WDC90C00
OAK OTI-067
Oak OTI-077
Headland series.
CHIPS F82C452 rated for "50MHz"
Trident 8900C or D, fully 1MB.

Thank you and cheers,

Great Northern aka Canada.

I would stick with Oaks or the Tridents, seem to recall some issues with WDC 9000 but can not remember why.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

If that means CGA games, then choose Trident - they offer good register-level CGA and Hercules modes.
Also, 8900D is pretty fast.

Nie tylko, jak widzicie, w tym trudność, że nie zdołacie wejść na moją górę, lecz i w tym, że ja do was cały zejść nie mogę, gdyż schodząc, gubię po drodze to, co miałem donieść.

What about the trident 8900C with 1MB (eight 256K x 4 bits)?

Performance?

The only ISA Trident with good performance is 8900D.
The C variant is average at best.
But it should be noted that Oaks and early WD/Paradise chips aren't fast, either.
I don't know about Headland and Chips.
