File this under the totally unnecessary category, but I replaced the cheap northbridge cooler on my Abit BX6 Rev. 2. I used an Enzotech SLF-1 Ultra chipset cooler. It comes with a fan, but there isn't enough clearance to fit it under a Slot1 cooler, so I attached it passively. It looks pretty good and that thick contact plate should be a lot better than the cheap aluminum piece that was on there from the factory. I also applied thermal paste. See attached for results.

Complications. I struggled mightily to get the old heatsink off. Those plastic push-pins didn't want to go through, no matter how hard I squeezed them. I eventually put kapton tape all around it (to prevent me from scratching a trace) and just started horsing it until I got them through.
