Hi!

I just bought a voodoo 3 1000(the 16MB 125Mhz one).

Since this version has no heatsink, I guess one is not really needed. But I’d thought it might not hurt to have it run a little bit cooler.

Anyone know what size of heatsink I should use?
I’ve googled and seems to be 40x40mm(guess the avenger chip is the same as the rest of the 3-series), if so does it hurt to go bigger than that?

I just bought some cheap amazon heat sinks with thermal conductive tape.

They work just fine.

Measure the GPU die and order the correct size.
I used 35x35x10mm on my voodoo2, however the chip for the voodoo3 may be bigger.

Go on amazon and search: "aluminum heat sink 40x40x10"
if that is your size.
