Greetings all,

I've recently received this S423 board and was testing it. It works just fine but the PS/2 connector doesn't work. The three keyboard LEDs light up for a split second but then the keyboard is unresponsive afterwards. I tried doing some troubleshooting and so far the only thing I can see wrong is this SMD Resistor Network (labeled "RN1"), it shows no resistance and no continuity. Also there is no marking on top of it. From the best photos I can find on the internet I see there is something written, but can't make out the number from the low resolution. This makes me suspect that the component is burned or bad from factory. So I kindly ask if anyone has this board at hand, please let me know the value (3 digit nr) or even better take a photo if possible. Thanks in advance!!

I changed it this morning. Found the component on a broken board and replaced. It worked on first try. Again thank you very much!!!

Given the limited space and my cheap soldering tools it came out ok 😁

😀
I'm happy it now works 100%.
Glad I could help.

Gonna bench it?

Already did 😀 Here is SpeedSys running on it with a Pentium 4 1,60GHz CPU and 128Mb Ram:

I always wanted to do a 1.3 to 2.0GHz tests and benchmarks.
Looking at the picture we can all see the 1.6 below a 1.4 K7 Thunderbird.

With the new P4 they started to go down.

Have fun!
