Printer works perfectly but I just realized the ink overflow reservoir/print head protector is missing. Had three sets of ink cartridges dry out before I realized it!

Anyone have ANY idea where to source one, or what printers might have compatible reservoirs?

Shot in the dark, I know, but I do quite like the printer...

Have no clue (other than another 940c) but Inkjets cartridges dry out even if the printer is complete. I switched to lasers back in late 1990's and have never gone back.....they can sit for years without use without much issue (other than paper feed rubber rollers degrading).

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Got a 3d printer?

If so, consider printing a press mold for a homebrew replacement.

Type II silicone bathroom caulk (the vinegar stinky kind) will set up in about 5 minutes when mixed with a little water.

Make a 2-part compression press-mold for the missing rubber ink station pad, mix up some caulk, then press it in the mold and wait. Trim off the 'spooge' that squishes out the side with scissors, and see if it works or not.

I picked up a Retroprinter interface to just redirect color prints from vintage computers to my modern Ecotank printer. No sense in trying to limp along on this!
