Hello everyone, I think we all need this guide, which I invite whoever has knowledge to let grow and evolve.

Please, feel free to copy and re-paste my original post structure, adding on it and improving it on every comment you add, so that one won't have to re-browse and read all the comments and pages to find/figure something out. Thanks.

Many discussions on this forum (and among retro PC peers everywhere) revolve in the end about the problem of parts being or not able to work at higher FSB frequencies keeping them at 0 wait states.

Why don't we make a universal chart?

So, please, feel free to expand / fill in.

Also, when you copy and re-paste, feel free to also re-organize its structure if you find a better / more logical way!

I'll put in the only one I know for sure so far (sorry for my poor contribution)

Product (e.g.: Controller) - Brand - Model - Type (e.g.: EDO, UATA 33,...) - Size (if applicable) - BUS (if applicable) - max. FSB MHz - Wait States - Notes

CONTROLLER - Holtek - HT-6560A - IDE (EIDE?) - N/A - VL-Bus - 50 MHz FSB - 0 ws - None
