So I got this motherboard from someone who did not test it, so it might as well be dead. But I cannot for the life of me get this thing to post, maybe I have not followed the jumper settings correctly because the only manual I could find was here https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/spring … 6-rev.-p2c#docs. I've got some FPM ram like the motherboard calls for and some others to spare if it hates them. I've got an Intel DX4 clocked at 100mhz, and it supports write through cache. It's been kicked around a few drawers so it might also be dead, I'll have to source another one to test because I honestly don't know if it still works. There are some jumpers for specific CPUs and cache settings and I've tried leaving them open and nothing still, but one of my main grievances with this board is that not all of the jumpers have numbers next to them so I'm not even sure if what I put down is what the manual says. I've got some photos if someone thinks that they can comprehend my dilemma.

Also on a sidenote, when I got the board the com port header had a bent pin that unfortunately snapped off when I tried to straighten it (which I can live with until I solder on a new one if the blasted thing works), PPS the more important sidenote that makes me livid is that the BIOS EPROM had a pin that was crumpled into the socket I carefully straightened it back out but the board might be toast because of that.

Here are some more photos the editor did not like my high resolution motherboard photos so here are some low res, sorry.

Also would a diamond stealth 3d 2000 work for a video card or is it too new?

Did you connector a speaker to check if any beeps are coming?
Does the CPU get warm when you start the board? Try without cpu cooler to feel it with the fingers. It should get very warm in like 10 seconds.

EDIT: CPU Jumpers seem to be correct, set for Intel DX, DX2, DX4. Also CPU voltage is set correctly JP50 open.

PC speaker does not make a sound, within 30 seconds the CPU gets not hot but warm to the touch.

I think I found the problem, the top side looks pristine, the bottom side sustained some damage during shipping, I wish the seller would have used an anti static bag than wrapping it with paper, there is some damage to some traces on the isa side and power side by the CPU, that's probably my issue, sorry for wasting everyone's time, I don't know if I can fix that with an soldering iron.

Hmm. Not convinced.
What was the Bios? You said a pin of the Bios was bent?
If yes, then somebody played around with the chip, meaning it was removed and re-inserted. Without a working Bios the board will do nothing.

The furthest right pin that you can see on this bios chip was bent and not in the socket correctly, I straightened it and put it back in so hopefully it would be fine.

I know by searching google that there is another form with this motherboard in mind Socket3 SS 486 rev:P2CI motherboard, any info? and they mention a website with bios roms for it https://www.elhvb.com/mobokive/archive/Spring … ownload.htm#SIS, but I don't want to attempt to flash it unless I absolutely have to, I also don't have the hardware to flash eproms.

As already mentioned, without Bios, a board is dead like a stone. At least it is suspicous, because a pin of the Bios cannot jump out by itsself, so somebody removed it.
I think.
