I was fantasizing about adding this to vgamuseum.info but there was no way I could hide 5000 $CAD missing from my wife and our joint bank account.

So this unreleased video card sold for 3,750.00$; a working BitBoys Pyramid3D. I guess there was someone that would and could pay that price for a piece of history.

Wow, and I can't distinctly remember hearing of them before. Maybe some vague stirrings about seeing 2 inches of news column in a PC mag in the 90s, but there were dozens of announcements that never went anywhere.

If you wanna console yourself with a roadtrip to Rochester NY, I just saw a $10 FireGL4 AGP Pro on craigslist there, which is also useless for anything.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

I would love to see one working.

Too bad for this one, but have not regrets, you probably already have the weirdest cards posted on vgamuseum, from Air Trafic Controllers display adapters to Chinese exclusive GPUs....

I mean I know it's not the same as holding it in your own hands, but this thread might be pretty satisfying for you.Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

Bitboys repeatedly won Vaporware prizes around the turn of the millennium for this stuff. For something nobody actually ever had working it had a huge amount of press. So to have one working... if this is the real deal this is actually a fairly moderate price (not that I would have paid it personally).

I've just been trying to find some links but a quarter of a century on so much has gone...

Edit:
This is about the best I could find:
