Is this supposed to work out of the box?
It's not getting detected with my motherboard FIC 486 GVT- 2 (with updated BIOS to 3.07G). The CD-ROM works fine when connected as slave on my Controller Card (AGP), but when connecting it to the CT2290 (as master) nothing is detected.
My BIOS don't seem to have any built in support for detecting CD-ROM, but as it works through the controller I think it should not be an issue, or am I wrong?
The Sound Blaster CT2290 is ISA non-PnP, but I can't see any jumper for enabling/disabling the CD-ROM interface.
I just connect it and when loading VIDECDD.SYS it hangs for a while then I get message "Error: No CD-ROM drives detected at all."
Is anything else needed?
