Which are the last drivers for nvidia graphics cards compatible with Windows 95? (without nvidia control center)

Hi

I have a gforce 4 mx 440 agp 8x and I downloaded last w95 drivers from nvidia website ( 81.98_forceware_win9x_international ). They worked normally under win98SE but on windows 95 they install the control panel and that generates an error on every w95 startup, because nvidia control panel is not compatible with windows 95.

Which are the last drivers compatible with windows 95 and without that control panel?

I tryed installing the drivers using the device admin and update the drivers selecting the folder of the .INF file in the nvidia unzipped folder. The problem persist, they install the control panel.

I don't think it will work, it's too old, even 4 mx 440 didn't existed when this version was released

The best driver for Windows 9x would be 45.23, according to everybody here. First version to support mx440 was 28.32. You can get all of them from Phil's website: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/nvidia-9x-gr … cs-drivers.html
I wouldn't use any driver newer than 56.64 on any windows 9x system, they are slower and buggier. Unless you have a GeForce 6xxx series, there is really no point to use something as new as 81.98.
Use Driver Cleaner from this post before installing another driver.
