Could anyone provide some links to www/ftp with old Windows drivers? I mean 1.xx, 2.xx, 2.xx/286, 2.xx/386, 3.0 drivers? I'm thinking of building a machine with these and would like to investigate what VGA would be best and AFAIK without drivers I can't get higher than 640x480 with 16 colors. Some other questions:

1) I assume drivers for Windows 1.0 are compatible with every 1.xx revision?
2) Is Windows 2.00 compatible with 2.xx/286 drivers?
3) Will 3.1 drivers work for Windows 3.0?

I think Matrox was supporting win3.1 for the longest period of time so they should be the fastest. Drivers are still on their www. What do you need win1 ad win2 for?

Just for fun 😀 There are some apps that won't run on 3.1, because they were designed for 1.x/2.x.
