I enjoy buying retro items on ebay.de, and always speak to the sellers in German. Unfortunately, the German that I learnt at school has faded from my brain cells, and consequently, I use "google translate .com" to assist me with my German. So, to answer your question (I think/hope) - I once learnt German, but I wasn't very good at it, and that was quite some time ago. But, using "google translate", I have managed to acquire the very basics again, which is a fun learning experience! 😀
