Hi!
I was wondering if you could help me out with a little (huge?) problem here.
Recently I started putting together a retro rig, just for the sake of fun. I even acquired a classic GUS from a friend.
I would like to install this sound card in MS-Dos 6.22.
I have an Asus P2B motherboard which has 3 ISA slots. I tried all of them, but to no avail. I installed the stuff from the original GUS install cd and everything is fine up till I try to use the card itself.
In the Ultrasnd dir I ran playmidi and when I chose a MIDI file, the program informs me that a GUS card was not found. It is the same with games.
I even tried in the bios to manually set irq 5 for "legacy card". Note that this is the only isa card on the motherboard, the only other card is a PCI S3Virge.
I'm getting a bit desperate here because I payed good money for this card and heard much about its capabilities... 😢
Thank you in advance
