Hi. I'm new to this board.

I have a fine win9x soundcard based on YMF724F-V. It has a "legacy" section providing OPL3 FM synthesis and a Soundblaster Pro. It's available both from pure DOS and from Win98, where many games work ok.

The problem is that under Windows the volume of the legacy section is extremely low around -20 dB of line level, which is much quieter than the synthesizer and wave outputs, and picks up interference. Under DOS there is a driver/application (SetupDS) with a mixer where the volume can be raised considerably and cleaner signal obtained, but no such control seems to be available from under Windows.

Is it possible to increase the legacy volume from Windows somehow?
