Hi all... I really need some advice on what drivers to pick from vogons driver collection.
I went out to the second hand shop in my town today, just for the walk.
There, "smiling" at me, was a Sound Blaster 16 pro pnp model ct2951(isa), a soundblaster ensonic audiopci model ct4810 (pci) and an ati rage2 (agp).
They were all priced at 20 danish kroners each. Wich is roughly 4 us-dollars or just over 2.5 euro.
(Snatchy, snatchy.... Caveman like, caveman buy)

Now.
I have found drivers for the ensonic card, the only thing i need, is help on wich drivers to download from vogons, for the ct2951.
I think it is a more or less a cost reduced version of the ct2950, as the print states XX50 and the sticker on the back states XX51.

Thanks in advance.... 😀

The Theman's compilation ISO (thanks for making it if your reading, its been a big help to me.)
http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=13 one of the members here made, and has all the drivers you need. I just use that for my 16's-Awe32's-Awe64's.

Thanks 1000 times.... 😀

Just tried the Creative Ensonic AudioPCI card with the help of some generic Sound Blaster PCI-Dos-Drivers.
Found them on a mame-site. It is perfect for Dos gaming, as Duke3D runs again at my place.
The SB-Emulation is not dropped now, as it were with the Live.
Now, my SB-Live is doomed a Win98/Os2 card only. Hehe.

Isn't that the card that routes its wave-table midi to opl3? and sounds really wacky as a result?
Or is it the same as the creatives later version of the sound blaster PCI 128? I have a couple of those, never really used them much.

Music is somewhat strange in syndicate.
However I think it is just as good for music as sb-live in doom, duke3d and pinball fantasies.
It's a more stable choice on a 865 chipset with p4 socket 478 cpu.
The bad is, that it is sb-pro compatible for sound effects.
Anyway.... I got rid of the emulation being dropped by games when I exit them.

I had a PCI-128 back in the day's, and the CT4810 is just as good as the CT4700.
Not perfect, yet better than Live cards for pure Dos.

The only PCI card I still use on dos is a S3, sonic vibes. Seems to pretty much have the compatibility of an ISA card, with the games I run, and sounds somewhat ok in dos, but its not quite as good as a real ISA card with the ymf-262.
Also has decent GM in windows and its easy to switch to FM synth for media playback unlike some cards.

Was actually the first PCI sound card I ever owned, still have the box.... well the insert that goes around the box anyway 🤣.
