Hello All,

I apologize if this is a duplicate post, I was trying to find my original post and could not locate it.

I am working on an old Packard Bell C110 desktop, and installed a CT-2950 I found at a yard sale. It works fine under my fresh install of Win98SE, but I have an "Unknown Device". I was wondering if:

A: Anyone have the Windows 98 or 95 drivers that would install the unknown device, of if you know what it is.

B: I would really like the DOS drivers for this card, as it has SoundFont support.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Could be many things. But usually it could be USB, firewire, ethernet, on-board sound card.

Look at the back for any of these devices. Check the BIOS and see if they can be disabled.

The device was installed when the sound card was installed.

Would anyone have any idea where i might find the Win98 or Win95 drivers?

As far as I'm aware, SoundFont is only supported under Windows, as there are no tools to load sound banks into memory from within DOS.

It "might" be possible to boot into Windows, set the sound bank, then "exit to DOS" without restarting the computer to keep it in memory.
