Can this program work under Windows 3.11?
When I start it with DOS4G it restarts my computer, but when I start it with DOS32a the GUI works. When I load a file with DOS32a the program crashes and system reports that the program has violated System Integrity.
I wanted to try playing FLAC files on the Turtle Beach Tahiti sound card.

The Win32 version does not even support Win9x, so forget about Win32S
http://mpxplay.sourceforge.net/
Maybe try the 1.59 rather than the beta - they should run, they are bundled WITH the DOS extender

Can't remember the things for Win32 console in DOS - found http://www.doswin32.com/ but I'm sure there was another one ah, HX DOS extender

I ran the DOS version with Windows 3.11 .
DOS32A is compatible with windows 3.11 how i read.

Also, is there a W3.11 player that DIGITALLY reads Audio discs? I want the card to do the processing not the CD ROM over analogue cable.

Racking my brains for the player I recall from a .jp site - it was a CD-Text player, pretty sure it was digital.

Not it http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?fr … 2Fse013144.html - but this might be digital

Do sound work in DOS apps inside Windows 3.11? Windows 9x+ VXD drivers usually have SB16 emulation, but I've never seen 3.x drivers doing the same. Windows won't let MPXPLAY access the hardware directly, so unless some sort of SB emulation is going on, then there is no way of using it insite Windows.

If you want to test the FLACS, your best bet might be converting them to WAV and then playing them.

Tried the program, it doesnt run.
I burned some Scooter WAVs onto a disc, and HOLY **** does it sound amazing. I never heard any of my sound cards produce the bass in certain songs that Tahiti easily does.

I guess the only other thing I can do is try to make it work under Windows 98.
