Well someone had a box of computer looking stuff on the curb earlier, finally went through it. Mostly junk, alot of broken stuff, but one peice that works well, but I can understand the toss.

Trigem Cognac+ Motherboard HP branding
Celeron 500 was sitting in the board.

I tossed in 2 spare sticks of 128mb PC100 and it boots right up, installed Windows 98 on it just fine. Now just trying to figure out what to really do with it. Yall have any input on what to do with it. Its an 810 chipset but no AGP slot, so even late 90's gaming is not an option with it.

I always look at systems like that and figure if they can't be made to hit peak video performance, in this case missing AGP, then use it for audio or rather turn it into a media-player. Otherwise, you could cleverly stuff it into the kitchen, somewhere and mount an LCD to a wall or other surface to bring up recipes while you cook/bake. Hook it up to a stereo in the garage, turn it into a console emulator and play NES/SEGA games, turn it into a Quake server or Doom/Heretic/Hexen server, get an incoming-only telephone line and run a BBS, turn it into a router/gateway far more powerful than any stand-alone unit.

In this thread you can see what I did with a similar system I found in a dumpster.
The thread should have continued with further upgrades but I got sidetracked. I still have the system though so it will meet my Celeron 1400 and Geforce 6200 PCI sooner or later.
