I don't have it, but I was looking for something similar yesterday. You can find version 3.1 and older on oldapps.com. I finally had to install 6.2 because it was the only 98 version after 3.1 I could find.

Unfortunately 3.1 doesn't recognize my 9800xt, neither 3.2.
You can find both at k6plus forum (google it).

Need 3.8!
There has to be an archive somewhere...

Probably August 2003. 😉

Why go that far back though? The oldest driver I use for a R300 or later card is Catalyst 4.2 and that's only for KOTOR.

No, they are for xp, it' s a mistake.
I need 3.8 for a socket 7 board. Anyway I will gladly accept 4.2 also, but I really need 3.8

Yes I had installed them but they are not stable at all.
I need ancient vxd drivers.

The link you gave me is for 3.9 rev5, a sort of "mixed" drivers for particular platform... No go.
Thank you anyway.

On a completely unrelated note, why do you want to run a Radeon 9800XT on a Socket 7 board? Those platforms have horrendous AGP performance and it'll probably be more effort than its worth.

driver should be good, the mixed part is control panel and XP, I think anyway.
Asus also have 3.9 (7.95) 98se and the link works

see if it works with your card,

E-mail AMD support; I've done this a few times for specific old versions of Catalyst. They usually reply within 48h with either the file attached or a direct link to the AMD FTP.

Any chance you can go with XP instead of 98?

I found Guru 3D a great resource.

You can browse back in time, and early drivers see to support Windows 98 as well. Worth checking it out:
