Well... I am not going to use it for gaming only.
And I have never played with dual CPU systems.

Haven't got round to it yet but install Netware, if for nothing else for the screensaver. The more CPU's the more snakes!!! The higher the CPU load the longer the snakes. pretty cool stuff.

I have a 3.12 install cd somewhere in the closet. It has some numbers on a sticker, on the backside of the jewel case.
I did a serverinstall as part of education, back in 1995 yet I can not remember anything about it. Only that I did it.
Never finished that education though.

This is all in german, but this is the best mod for the P2B-DS I have seen.

Dual Tualatin CPUs:

Yet another setback. And some good news in the bad as well.

First up. I have to wait untill the 42'nd week.
That's the bad news.

The good news is that I am getting the following for 400 kroners'.
Wich is approximate 62 US Dollars.

Asus P2B-DS
Asus P2B-S
Two A-Open ATX Cases circa 1998/01
Two more Asus boards that are unknown.
And just some different hardware like SCSI controllers and stuff.
Two P3-550 slot1 CPU's, plus one P2-300 Slot1 (or something like that)
Plus some different Ram modules.

I think it is worth waiting for, as the seller will drop it off at my place.

Regarding what I will use the dual CPU for?
Have been thinking a bit. I think the best use would be BeOS.
If it works. Then maby I will build a Be-Box. Using standard atx case.
Get some gfx card and such that are compatible out of the box.
And finally paint the case in some of the same colors.

Maybe one of those!:D

Nope... I am getting the HX45 Case and the HQ45 Case in this deal. (Both A-Open)
They will not be used for any casemodding though. For that I must find a different one.
Perhaps a slightly newer case, that are more plentifull and less retro, out there.

EDIT:
According to this site. I am only missing the P2B-DS in order to build a hardware
compatible home made BeBOX.
