So, this system: No POST on FIC 486-VC-HD

I managed to install the Windows 3.11 drivers for the Realtek RTL8019AS card (silkscreen on card is "EN2000 PnP").

However, Windows 3.11 hangs on start - if DHCP is activated, there's an error message that it can't find the DHCP server. With static IP it hangs without error message.

Network cable is connected, activity light is on.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the dos setup utility for the card? If so is there an option to disable the pnp function?

Nope! Where would I find such a utility?

On the realtek web site http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsVie … &Downloads=true

Under Dos.

Also grab the driver disk file under OEM

Ah, thanks! Don't know how I missed that.

Will try when I get home.

DOS setup tool detected an IRQ conflict and corrected it.

Now it works perfectly! Thanks again!
