You can look up the CPU cache size based on CPU description. 7-Zip version is 9.20. I do not track 32/64 bit, just whatever the system is when it goes through my hands. Assume older machines are 32-bit and newer ones 64-bit. Some of the systems are mine, most are machines I configure quickly before putting into production. I don't have time for extensive benchmarking, but 7-zip 9.20 is something I put on every machine anyway, so it makes it quick and convenient to get a number to add to this spreadsheet before shipping the system off to the end-user.

edit: the dictionary size is default (32MB).

Alienware M17x R2 - upgraderd from i7 720qm to i7 920xm

and my final result M17x R3 upgraded from i7 2670qm to i72960xm

I am not sure if this bench is working in win98 I have a few older systems laying around (I can test those also if you want)

Thanks, rodarkone! Yes, 7-zip 9.20 runs on Win98. Also, you can run 7-zip from a linux distro if you want. It's not usually installed by default, but it's an apt-get away.

Nice...thanks! Not bad for an Atom. Looks like it falls in just behind the C2D E6550. A little slower on processing, but a little faster with chipset/memory subsystem. Added to the list.

I definitely suggest putting it into Google sheets. Then people can add their results in a separate tab that you can later clean up and add them to the main sheet.

Okay, I made a Google Sheet of this. My hesitation was unfamiliarity with privacy/anonymity in Sheets (I'd never used it to share with before). I think I got all the privacy settings configured as to not show any of my personal info. It is set to share with those who have the link, and editing is allowed. Here is the link:

I'm not sure how to undo the color fill on the Ghz column. I formatted it so that it would always show two digits after the decimal, and after that it is a green color. I've tried setting the Fill Color to white, but it is still showing that greenish color.

Would somone more familiar with this check it out? Then I'll add the link to the opening post.
