Same thing happens to my unit, model 0, as well. It seems that that is a normal function of the unit as in 100 is 0dB and everything lower is -ndB as in volume reduction vs enlargement. So it is logical to assume it requires the amplifier or mixer to controll the actuall volume of the device.

In reality it was doing it before ... it was just my GUS doesnt applificated the line in ... (and now it does) as i've started using the cd in for my sc-33 the normal line have just went bersek!

Never mind ... i stupidly plug it in the mic jack ... shame on me
