Double-check the voltage requirements on those AGP cards to make sure they're not 8X or 4X locked. Certain MBs might not have support for specific voltages on their slots and if they don't, BAM. No working card.

ATI cards, from what I understand, had a lot better support for different voltages (the whole 4x/8x on all their boxes).

Also, have those GeForce cards worked in any other system?

Yeah, I remember that when I used 8x drivers on my pentium 3 using either a tnt2 or a GeForce 3 Ti card, some games wouldn't run while other had TERRIBLE performance and graphical glitches. Used the 4x drivers and then everything was fine

If it's any help, I've been testing my GF2 MX cards with driver 56.64 and they work great with that driver rev in Win98. I've tried on Pentium 4 and Pentium 3 rigs.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

I'd use drivers older than 56.64. Get 28.32, 44.03, or 45.23. Sometimes drivers beyond 56.64 don't work on some platforms.

I second that. Anything beyond 56.64 is trouble on 98 with older graphics cards. Recently tested several revisions with my FX5900 and many games will have corrupt graphics, won't start at all or crash with DirectX errors with drivers newer that 56.64.

The links are wrapped in some non working JavaScript. You can copy them, paste, remove javascript and you will have the right link. Or use http://http.download.nvidia.com/Windows/ to get the direct links for the drivers in the archive.

They're all here: http://http.download.nvidia.com/Windows/

I just collected all of them for my own archive. The PDF documentation there is pretty interesting, too.
