So I bought one of those Gotek USB floppy emulators, hoping to get some sweet floppy images on a usb stick.
I bought it online, but was advertised as "amiga gotek floppy emulator". I asked the seller if it can be used with PC, and he said yes...
Little that I know, that amiga compatibility comes with a custom firmware, found here https://cortexamigafloppydrive.wordpress.com/

So I have been trying to get some images on an USB stick to work with it, creating them with the tools found on http://www.ipcas.com/support/usb-floppy-emula … n-download.html
This results in always three "---" in the display of the gotek, whatever I put in the USB slot. This kind of prooves its not the "normal" firmware.

I tried to found out what to use with the amiga firmware, and it seems that you need a selector.adf file. So I tried that, togheter with some selector.adf editor program and 4 adf images. this works and I get to select the wanted image with the buttons on the gotek, but thats not realy what I need.

The seller does not respond anymore to my questions, so I was wondering if someone knows if/how I can flash it in something more usefull than a paperweight?

The "Amiga GOTEK" has been modified with a different firmware I believe.

In short: You bought the wrong product.

I know phill, maybe my post was a bit long, but that conclusion is all in there.

I was just wondering if someone knows where I can find the normal firmware and flash it.
At my work we have FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 cables, so I think flashing it wont be a problem, if I use the guide on how to flash the amiga firmware. but with which firmware?
