I bought a 386 motherboard and I got it in the mail today. The motherboard seems to be KMC A419-8. I noticed that only half of the 8 cache slots are filled with chips.
Since I don't have any kind of manual for the motherboard, I don't know if I need to change any jumpers on the motherboard if I filled the rest of the cache slots with same cache chips.
Also I don't know how much of a difference in performance filling rest of the slots would make. There are quite a bit of jumpers on this motherboard and some of those jumpers are right next to the cache chips.
I would appreciate any advice.

In my experience, all 386 and 486 motherboards require jumper changes if you upgrade the L2 cache.

The performance increase will not be that large.
