So I was browsing eBay and came across this ISA card by Stallion Technologies... model name:
ASS-ECHAT

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stallion-Technologies … BIAAOSwkZhWTm-l

Really???? They couldn't come up with a better name?

Are there any horrible names for computer hardware that you have seen?

It's not computer hardware, but at least home electronics. Maybe close enough. Had this hifi deck as a kid, kept the logo plaque when I scrapped it:

What the hell did they think? Must almost have been on purpose 😁

When you speak a different language, you can read other bad names such as "etrontech" which means in my tongue "crap-tech" 🤣

Haha, yeah. About ten years ago, when I worked at Atlantic Container Lines, we drove past the Chinese restaurant "Kuk Pung" in New Jersey on a shore leave. It literally means "Dick Nutsack" in Swedish, the spelling is 100% correct. Believe me when I tell you we laughed our asses off 😁

There's a newer case, the Phanteks Enthoo, where the name just plain galls me. It doesn't mean anything bad, but it sounds ridiculous!

I've run across a few other lame ones too - A satellite antenna called "SATAN 450", and I distinctly remember seeing a mouse called "Barffi" at one point.

Main Box: Macbook Pro M2 Max
Alas, I'm down to emulation.

It's a relatively common Germanic surname, but its literal meaning is unclear to me. The Swedish spelling of it, Assman, is even better. One of the telegraphists on a colleague of mine's old ship was named Bertil Assman. Apparently the USCG ran face controls every time he was aboard. Wonder why? 😁

Anything from one of the current "gaming" series of hardware.

Also, Zida Tomato Board. Because who doesn't like going to the computer store to buy tomatoes? As a bonus the portuguese word for tomatoes ("tomates") can be used as slang for balls, in keeping with the OP's theme.

I've found another one :

The "Commodore PET" means "Commodore FART" in french

Also you may now that because of how french is made where everything have a gender when you speak about it. Here, graphic cards are considered as "she". What was my surprise when I saw an old graphic card with "cougar" in "her" name ^^
