I installed Mitsumi 8x/2x cd drive in my retro dos pc because it seemed to be most reliable out of my old optical cd drives when it comes to reading CDs. Now I am in a situation where I have to format hard drive again and I started to wonder if there would be a way to make a backup all the games that I have already installed by burning the files to a CD in dos. Is there any way to burn CDs using that drive in ms-dos 6.22?

I don't think so. I usually just move the hdd to a Windows PC and copy the games folder over to a backup folder.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Golden Hawk, makers of CDRWIN, used to sell a suite of DOS CD burning tools. Good luck finding them nowadays.

I'm pretty sure such utilities exist. If all else fails, I'm certain Norton Ghost can do it.

I have been trying to look around internet. There are programs that some people talk about like there is suppose to be a dos version of cdrtools and a program called doscdroast, but I have not been able to find a working download for any of them.
